The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Khloe Kardashian, has arrived in Durban. The reality TV star is in South Africa to accompany her alleged new beau, French Montana, to the MTV Africa Music Awards that took place on Saturday night.  The UN special representative on sexual violence in conflict says the abducted Nigerian schoolgirls "definitely" face the danger of being raped. "My worry is those girls don't come back half of them pregnant," Zainab Hawa Bangura told a luncheon at the British Residence in New York on Friday.

Human rights expert opposes Abuja protests ban

Prominent human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has condemned the purported order issued by the Commissioner of Police in Abuja, Joseph Mbu, banning all protests in respect of the over 200 school girls abducted by the Boko Haram.

Keyamo said the ban on the protests was unconstitutional, illegal, null and void.

He pointed out that the ban was against the "spirit and letter" of section 40 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948 and the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.

One arrested after football pitch bombing

The military on Monday said it had made an arrest in connection with the bombing of a football match that killed at least 40 people.

"A key suspect in the terror bomb explosion that rocked Kabang community in Mubi, Adamawa state has been arrested by troops who cordoned (off) the area in swift response to the explosion," defence spokesman Chris Olukolade told reporters.
