Scarcity of aviation fuel grounds air travels

Thousands of air travellers are currently finding it difficult to meet their schedules following disruptions in the operations of both domestic and international flight operators in the country.

The disruption is as a result of the scarcity of Jet A1 commonly known as aviation fuel, reports Daily Trust.

The scarcity, which started on Monday, has forced some of the airlines to either delay, cancel or merge their flight operations.

The scarcity has forced many airlines to fly first to other cities where the product is available to fuel their aircrafts before heading to Abuja and other cities severely hit by the shortage.
